Linden Street / Oakland Street
Project Scope
- Vanguard Engineering provided construction inspection and administration services for the rehabilitation of two streets, totaling 2075 lf. Updating the features of the street improved the overall aesthetic of the area, making it a nicer place to live. Adjusting the curb radii at the intersection of Linden and Oakland made it safer for both pedestrian and car traffic.
- The scope of work included: stone curb replacement, milling and resurfacing, many new sidewalks, installation of ADA compliant curb ramps, apron replacement, catch basin replacement/adjustment, manhole frame and cover replacement / adjustment, replacement of all lead and galvanized water services, and tree removal.
- We used an on-line newsletter to communicate daily with involved Residents. It was convenient for them and saved time explaining events on an individual basis.
- Construction completed in 2020 by Sealand Construction.
